Paintings.
Acrylic. Watercolor. Guache. You name it, I paint with it. I’m most experienced with acrylic and I love a painting with texture. I’m not much of a minimalist, despite my often simplistic backgrounds. I wish my pictures were better but I just don’t have the energy right now. Eventually I’ll get some better ones. Honestly missing some still. Aside from a couple, this section does not include the ones I have up for sale.
A Damn Fine Day (to be gay) - Watercolor (and acrylic? I might be making that up) on wood. I made this as a gift for one of my favorite businesses in the city. Does she remind you of any of the other paintings in this carousel?
Friendship Flowers? I actually never named this one, perhaps I should ask her owner if she has a name for it [made as a gift] acrylic on wood
This is Timmy-bear. [NOT for sale] I made a bunch of these to give to people when my father passed away in 2025. Kept the first one for myself. I'll make a blog about this at some point. My mom has a really big version. Mine's little. Lots of details in here that are all nods to him. Someday, I hope to put him in a children's book!
The Wisps [not for sale] inspired by the song "roots" by In This Moment - acrylic on canvas
Medusa In Stone [not for sale] - pencil and guache on wood. I wish I remembered more about why I painted this one other than my love for old broken statues.
EDEN [ask me, I may part with her for the right place] - watercolor on canvas. I've got a whole blog on this one and her sisters... check it out.
EVE [not for sale] - Watercolor and pencil collage on canvas
Eve #2 [ask me] - Watercolor on canvas
Princely Boy [not for sale] - watercolor on canvas. This is a portrait of my main man, my cat Skylar. Ha! But really, he's a prince and he KNOWS IT.
Miss New Frooty [a gift for my bestie] - watercolor on canvas. I think the name really says it all. We were talking about how funny we find pictures of fruit that look like bodies. So I made her a little strawbooty.
A Bright Flurry over St. Louis [available in my shop] - watercolor & guache on canvas. This one was inspired by a gorgeous photo someone took during a big snow around the arch.
Unity - [ask me] textured acrylic on canvas. I really like this one, but if I could change anything, it would be how short I made the black figure's arms. Basically this was just supposed to represent gay (and trans inclusive) love. The main figures are black and white so they stand out, but also in support of interracial love. Real love doesn't know color or gender. It just loves.
Blood of the Covenant [available in my shop] - watercolor on canvas. "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." While the phrase is often shortened to reinforce the idea that your family should be able to do whatever ridiculous shit they wish to you, the complete saying has the opposite meaning.
"Baby's first fool" This might've been my first watercolor. It's alright, but I shoved it in a drawer for years and it shows. If you want her, she's yours. Let me know.
wood and acrylic sign - show your customers that you welcome ALL people regardless of gender, sexuality, or race... but there is just ONE exception :) - FREE to a local business who wants her! Let me know if that's you.
Drawings.
Sometimes a simple sketch is more impactful than the most involved painting… and sometimes I’m just playing around. Mostly pencil, because I love charcoal but I just tend to make such a mess with it.
This one was a gift for a friend. Pencil
Drew this while studying Athena (AKA MENRVA) I'll eventually make a blog post about why I hate "Minerva" at some point, but the short version is ROMANS. Pencil.
A semi-self portrait from a couple of years ago. Pencil.
She kinda reminds me of the Maxell guy.. is that just me? I did this in like 2020. I don't remember much more about her. Charcoal.
The first version of "My demon." I kinda scrapped it because I didn't think it was obvious enough that the little figure was popping his bubble. As per usual, he gets no further explanation. Overall, I like the way I drew it, but hate the subject matter, so this is a drawing I hide even from myself. I actually might pay you to take it away from me. Jk, I need to find it first, but I don't wanna.
This was a drawing based on someone else's much more colorful and detailed painting. Probably the best charcoal drawing I've done. Which is a little sad because she's old as hell. I'm guessing 2018ish.
